Upon entering our office you will be welcomed you as a member of our family. We will request you fill our patient forms located in the New Patient Center. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself, your condition and your health history. Please visit our Patient Forms page.
Next you will have a consultation with Dr. Lundy to discuss your health-related problems and concerns, as well as potential treatment options. Your first visit is designed for Dr. Lundy to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care can meet your goals.
After your consultation, your examination begins with a computerized postural analysis to assess how your skeleton is affected by gravity and has compensated for injuries and daily activities. Next Dr. Lundy will perform a complete chiropractic examination by testing your reflexes, assessing the relative strength and sensory ability of your extremities, your ability to turn and bend as well as other neurological, orthopedic, and physical tests. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent. Patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to get a full evaluation of a patient. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Report of Findings
On your second visit, Dr. Lundy will review with you all the results of the computerized postural analysis, the chiropractic examination and the X-ray studies, if taken, so he can answer the 3 most important questions patients have:
1) Can you help me?
2) What do you recommend that I do to get better?
3) How much is it going to cost?
Other goals of this visit are:
1) For the patient to understand why their symptoms are occuring
2) How those symptoms are affecting their life TODAY!
3) What we can do to help change things right now.
4) To undergo their 1st adjustment in the office.
5) For Dr. Lundy and you to create a plan to solve your problem
If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you and we will begin to coordinate that visit.
Prior to leaving, patients will be instructed on a wellness program to be conducted at home. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire an overall wellness lifestyle, we will work with you to create good habits and routines that support your success. Every body is unique and different and therefore everyone requires a unique and customized wellness plan. The foundation of our overall wellness lifestyle is maintaining healthy posture and good spinal alignment, eating a healthy diet, taking supplements, keeping your weight under control and stress relief.
